With my best wishes as a woman first and as a Tunisian citizen:
At this occasion, I would like to start first by congratulating women in Tunisia and especially focus on the wide range of women of Tunisian political prisoners as well as of political refugees allover the world for their 18th commemorations by now, of such a kind of personally felt occasion but unfortunately missing their “men” whether husbands, brothers, sons … all kinds of family and friends’ relatives.
I could not as usual forget them whether during ordinary or special days’ occasions as I have always felt that it must be possible relying on ALLAH’S will just like when the day came and my brother Abdelkarim was released -and I thank ALLAH for this happiness-, as a woman I strongly sympathize with these mothers, wives, sisters, relatives, neighbors and friends and keep praying ALLAH that they see their womanhood deprivation being compensated at least to some extent as the long time and distance factors have their extreme heavy influence on both sides, men and women.
In my opinion, there must be a common obvious point between both categories; i.e. : women who keep waiting for their imprisoned men to return back to them soon although they visit them in prison; see them - yet those who keep waiting for theirs to return back to their mother country soon although they might have some kind of communication by distance means such as telephones, internet to some extent, yet the full presence of the person can in no way be replaced by any means, technology is facilitating communication in some limited sense in such context.
Simultaneously, all these women expect their “men” to be back and to see them back equipped with freedom and dignity and they hope by then to find a way for happiness under respect of both “men “and “women” definitions nature.
Society and family are the nucleus of life structure based on both components “man” and “woman” and the balance can never be at the expense of the annulment of any side. So, the exclusion of such great and important part of society negatively affects the humankind relationships on the one hand and hinders the society common nature on the other hand as the various life sectors become affected, economy, politics, civil life, …etc as this part of society has well been made absent, thus it has been made deprived from playing the legitimate participating citizenship role and taking part in the development of the country. As a matter of fact, such handicap also makes alive the feeling of hatred, despair and anger which by now has absolutely to stop and leave room for understanding, solution finding and smile tracing on old and young families’ faces here I remember what Our Sacred prophet Muhammad Prayer & Peace be upon Him sayings :
"من فرّج كربة عن أخيه المسلم في الدنيا فرّج الله عنه كربة من كرب يوم القيامة"-
-" الرّاحمون يرحمهم الرّحمان يوم القيامة، ارحم من في الأرض يرحمك من في السماء ".
ALLAH forgives us for our sins even if they are like the highest mountains while we as small creatures do not think of being ourselves and think positively to advance ?!
These women are to be included among all Tunisian women to benefit from their rights as such and by no means to be excluded and they have by now had enough from the sufferance they are living in.
I end up my words by calling all the conscious men and women basically in Tunisia to be positive and do their best to make easy the path for all women, without the least exception to find happiness by living with their missing “men” and this is the minimum obvious and natural human right and let an atmosphere of better change overwhelm our Tunisian families and society as they are worth a steady and peaceful life, being absolutely the first required important phase of all kinds of progress for our country Tunisia.
Finally, I send all my warmest regards to all the Tunisian women and a woman who seeks to live free has also to care about the other women too! This is not a feminist invitation! But a personal awareness of the others’ needs. I pray ALLAH that these families will really gather around the same table in the coming Sacred Ramadan month-Amen.

Salam.
